Goodgame Poker will follow the rules of Texas Hold'em, the world's best known and most popular variant of Poker. The goal of the game is to get the highest Poker card-combination or make the other players give up their hands.
The Cards Goodgame Poker is played with a deck of 52 cards and two to a maximum of nine players. The cards have the symbols Clubs, Spades, Hearts or Diamonds and have one of thirteen values, from the lowest card (Two) to the highest card (Ace).
The Dealer The dealer at Goodgame Poker will be labeled on the table with the dealer-button (D.). The role of the dealer will be passed on after every hand played in a clockwise direction.
The Blinds The blinds are the forced bets to ensure that there is some money on the table in each round. The player on the left side of the dealer has to pay the small blind, his neighbor, the big blind. The small blind is half the size of the big blind. The remaining players must not pay anything before receiving their cards.
Rounds Preflop and Flop The game has a maximum of four betting rounds. The round begins with each player getting two cards face down, with the player in the small blind receiving the first cards and the dealer receiving the last card. The first betting round has started. Each player can match the amount put in by all other active players (call), put in more chips (raise) or throw away their cars (fold). When the first betting round ends, three community cards are dealt to the table for all to see. In the second round (Flop) a player may also just push (check) and do not make a bet, as long as no other player has increased before.
Turn and River The Turn is the third betting round. It begins with the detection of a fourth community card, followed by another bidding round. And finally, the fifth card (River), followed by the final round.
Showdown Now, for all the remaining players in the game, the moment came, to show their cards and compare them in a final showdown. The player with the highest hand wins the pot (collected stakes in the middle of the table). In the case of equally strong combinations, the pot is split among the winners (Split Pot).
A new player gets the dealer button and a new poker round can begin.
